Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"The axe is enchanted, but the spell I learned on my own. Wasn't too hard, really. All you have to do is picture it and sort of...talk to the spell, kind of, and pursuey (sp) it out of the axe."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Ok I don't think that will be too hard. Heh! Did you like my spell Night?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Adored it." Her voice drips with sarcasm as she ties off the last bandage. "How did you learn all of that shadow stuff?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"In my clan we had school. We learned how to manipulate shadows. I was the top in the class and got special privilages to learn new stuff. That was one of them."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Well, it worked." She sighs and leans back, wincing slightly. "Take good care of Destiny. Don't go pawning her off for some food or anything, alright?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Never! I like this thing! Well you better not sell your new weapon! I doubt you will!"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Riki grins. "You sound confident. So, when you making it?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"I guess right now! im off! Ill be back soon with your morning star!"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Later, then." Riki yawns and lays down on the couch at a wierd angle, but apparently comfortable. Staring up at the ceiling, she muses quietly about whether or not Bern would bring her the morning star.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
A couple of days later Bern enters the door of the Tri Links. Looking around for a friend of his.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Riki is idly lounging in front of the TV, flipping through the channels and stopping on VH1. "The Fabolous Life of Britney Spears. Beats Blue's Clues, I guess."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Hey i like blues clues!" Bern says jokingly, standing over Rikis chair. "How have you been?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Hey, there! Better. Healed up some since you left. How about you?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Not bad, got one more scar to add to my list! Oh well i treat them like tattooes! Oh i got something for ya!" Bern steps back and waits for Riki to rise.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She's quick in doing so, obviously excited. "You finished it? Already?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Yep! I used to watch my father make weapons. Kinda practiced when he wasn't home." Bern reaches behind him and brings out a completely gold Morning Star. "Here it is! I put some stuff onto it!" Bern hands the weapon over to Riki.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
She takes it. "Amazing...it's...beautiful." Her voice is awe-struck.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Its about 4 feet in length. Its made out of a combination of metals including the purest of gold and the spikes are coated in diamond so its strong as hell! I also added a drop of my blood to give it extra strength. I also infused the weapon with electricity so you should have some fun zappin people! Then you see that button?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Yeah...I see it." She admires the flawless handiwork and whistles.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"If you press that, a golden two foot short sword will come completely out of the handle which is also made out of the same gold and materials and blood. Oh did you realize how light it is? I made the weapon so that its as light as a feather for the holder but for the reciever its as heavy as a mountain! It took me so many years to perfect that technique. Do you like it?"
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Riki gives it a practice swing, grinning with delight. Perfectly balanced, the star's spikes glimmer in the light. She pushes the button and grabs hold of the sword, trying it out in her free hand. Laughing, she performs a couple of dazzling double-handed moves with both the star and the sword, ending it in replacing the sword in the handle. "Amazing. You did an amazing job. I can't thank you enough. All it really needs now is a name."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Of course!" Bern sits down, satisfied in his work with the weapon.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Riki studies it and thinks about its coming to her. After a couple of minutes, she decides. She grips it and holds it close, resting her forehead against the handle. "Moonsplinter....and the sword shall be called Stardrinker."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"It suits them perfectly. Here hit this!" Bern breaks off an extra piece of wood that wasn't need from a chair and throws it up.
"Hello ladies! Whats up?" Dom walks into the cafe once again and looks around seeing Bern throw a piece of wood in the air. |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
C-c-r-rack. The wooden board spilts in two and lands on the ground. Riki grins smugly. "Hey there, Dom! Check out my new morning star!"
Night gives the boards a curious tap with her paw. |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Hello Dom. Hello Night."
"where did you get it? Looks fancy and expensive!" He walks over to examine it. |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Bern made it! It's...wicked great, isn't it?" She proudly shows it off. Night studies Bern. "You are a never ending well of surprises, aren't you."
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"If i choose to be!"Bern smiles knowing he did i good job with the new weapon.
"Hey thats neat Bern. You should make me one!" Dom stares and the gold weapon ad sits. |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Hah...you got to beat him in a battle with your hands tied and gagged first, Dominic, like I did." She winks at Bern, letting him in on the joke.
Night sees this and laughs to herself. |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Bern chuckles and looks at riki. "Ill tell you what. are you willing to give up Void for a new weapon? Riki gave up Destiny for her new weapon."
"Uhhh, nevermind. Im knida attached to void." |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Ah, Dom, that's no fun." She plops into the chair next to them and examines Moonsplinter closely, admiring the detailed work.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Those inscriptions in the handle are what gave it the electrical power." Bern pionts to them odd writing.
"Well if i did i would need the perfect weapon. But i doubt you could find me one." |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Is it gargoylian?" She's truly interested, never have seen the language written or spoken before.
|
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Yes, its in my native tongue. It says Oh mighty gods of power bring forth the power upon which you hither.."
"Wow, thats cool!" |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Wicked. How does the lightning spell work?"
Nightbringer grows bored. All of her weapons were a part of her anyway. Seeing a mouse scurry along, she stalks it and pounces, pinning it to the floor and then letting it go to 'play' with it. |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"You see that little spot that comes out of your sword? you put that in this little hole on Stardrinker. Its a key to open the powers of the gods."
"I don't see any sword? what are you talking about?" |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Riki happily demonstrates for Dominic, and studies the device. "Wow...hey, that's real nifty."
The world was now minus one mouse. Nightbringer walks over, and, in a rare sense of humor, dumps the dead mouse on Dominic's lap. |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
"Its real nifty for a sneak attack on someone!"
"Wow thats awesome! Huh? Hey Night!" He leaps up to get the mouse off of him. |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Night purr-laughs and finishes her meal, thoughtfully leaving the head back on Dominic's lap.
Riki grins and nods her head, then tries it out and sends a bolt of electricty surging across the room. "Kickass." |
Re: Tri-Link's Cafe V
Bern watches the lightning then examines his new axe. "Hey Riki do you mind if I remodel it and give it a new name?"
"Grr. Night! haha very funny!" |
